To
surrender a horse to Dreamcatchers Equine Rescue (DCER), we ask that your horse be up-to-date with farrier, deworming, vaccinations and float. If you would like DCER to provide these
services, your donation to cover these expenses would be appreciated.
Please fill out
our Surrender Application form (link on the
bottom of this page) to provide us with all of the information about your horse so that we might pass it on to the new adoptive home.
At times we may not be able to accept your horse. We rely on adoption fees and donations to support Dreamcatchers
Equine Rescue and contrary to popular belief horse rescues do not receive government funding. There are times when either space or financial resources are not
available. We will do what we can to facilitate finding a new home for your horse.
We prefer that males are gelded before arriving at DCER. If the studcolt is too young, we may be
able to accept him with your donation to cover the expense of having him gelded.
Front Range Equine Rescue sponsors a grant that will provide partial reimbursement to
castrate your stallion or studcolt. Email Hilary Wood at info@FrontRangeEquineRescue.org and ask her about the
"Stop the Backyard Breeder Program." Or call her at 719-481-1490.
