Julie was surrendered to DCER in 2008 by her owner at the age of 25 after a successful career as a Polo Pony. At the ripe old age of 27, Julie produced what we call our “Whoopsie” baby, Romeo.
Who knew that two really old horses had the ability to breed through a 6 foot wooden fence but I guess where there is a will, there is a way.
Julie is a permanent resident of DCER and is Joey’s best girl in the old fart barn. Romeo was adopted by a wonderful volunteer almost as soon as he hit the ground and he remains at DCER as a boarded rescue horse.
